I have been making this traditional Fruit cake for 39 years. I make it the same way my mum made it for her family years ago. With 4kg of mixed fruit to less the 1kg of flour per reipce these cakes are full of fruit. All of my fruit cakes contain alcohol as well to keep them moist. These cakes are dressed with a mixture of nuts and glazed with apricot jam.
